Why We Carry Out Crown Reduction and Pollarding

-
Reducing the height and or spread of a tree by selectively cutting back to smaller branches and in fruit trees for increasing of light interception and enhancing fruit quality.

-
Reducing the size of the tree to natural growth points,
which will minimalise the size of the tree

-
Crown reduction is thinning of the crown canopy is when will remove
rubbing branches or potentially un safe branches also deadwood.

-
Pollarding is regular form of pruning where certain deciduous species are pruned back to pollard heads every year in the dormant period.

-
Crown reduction is thinning of the crown canopy is when will remove rubbing branches or potentially un safe branches also deadwood.

-
Crown raising is when we will lift the lower canopy up to say a height of 7 or 8ft so that you are able to walk around underneath the tree and also gives grass or small plants a chance to grow underneath.
